Community Wildfire Protection Plan

Community Wildfire Protection Plans (CWPP) are a proven strategy for reducing the risk of catastrophic wildfires. The Denton County CWPP is a proactive approach to identifying areas in the county that have a high risk of loss of life and property from a potential wildfire.

Clearing brush away from your home
Using fire-resistant landscaping 
Collecting emergency supplies in an easily accessible kit
Storing belongings in a safe place, such as a fire-resistant safe
Developing an escape route for your family and let all individuals residing in your home know the route
Establishing a safe meeting place in case of a fire or other emergency and belongings in a safe place
