Community Services

About Community Services

The Community Services Division consists of programs designed to both support and inform the community on how to prevent crime in neighborhoods and businesses and educate the public regarding child safety.

The Community Services Division should not be confused with court-ordered community service, wherein persons are sentenced by a court to serve time in the community. Although called the same thing, this Little Elm Police Department Community Services Division does not administer this program, nor does the Department have a program to help with these court assignments.

Our Community Services Division conducts the following outreach programs: bicycle rodeos, National Night Out, Tour Tuesdays, and more.

Safe Zones

Did you know? For those who purchase and sell items online on local buy-and-sell sites like Facebook Marketplace or online garage sales, where there is a face-to-face exchange of goods and cash, we have two safe zones where these exchanges can occur. In these zones, you can park and make the exchange under the watchful eye of our Public Safety teams. These zones are located behind the Public Safety building at 88 W. Eldorado Parkway in the parking lot between Public Safety and Town Hall and Fire Station No. 2 at 2301 Walker Lane.
