The Little Elm Public Safety Honor Park is a place to reflect and honor the service of first responders. The idea for the park was born shortly after the death of Little Elm Police Department Detective Jerry R. Walker on Jan. 17, 2017, in the line of duty.
The park features a walkway of engraved bricks, archways, benches, green space, and trees, and plaque honoring Walker for his service. The park also features a large sheepdog statue and statues of sheep, representing the analogy of the sheepdog protecting the flock. Walker viewed himself as a sheepdog caring for and protecting the public.
