112 Years in Little Elm

112 Years in LE Book cover

In order to preserve the early history of Little Elm, the Little Elm Public Library has worked to digitize a copy of 112 Years in Little Elm, by Mrs. JM. Harris. Though the Library owns multiple copies of this work, we felt it necessary to ensure that the information within the book stays available to residents indefinitely. The physical book is long out of print, and copies owned by the Library are vulnerable to time and use. But with the expertise and efforts of the University of North Texas Portal to Texas History (https://texashistory.unt.edu/) we can now keep this early history of the community around for the next 112+ years!

The added bonus of digitizing this book with the Portal to Texas History is that it is completely available to keyword searches. Looking for information on the Little Elm School? Or maybe you want to know more about the first Little Elm Post Office? You can quickly search for these subjects in the webpage and the Portal will display every page that includes those search terms (including photographs).
