Michael and his family moved to Little Elm in 1970 and have seen many changes over the years. He graduated from LEHS in 1979 with 19 classmates. Michael has been married to his wife, Lisa, an art teacher at Walker Middle School, for more than 20 years. Together, they have two sons.
Michael began in public service as a member of the Park Board in 1995, served for almost four years before moving to the Planning and Zoning Commission, where he served for 18+ years and then as a member of the Town Council until May 2017.
Additionally, Michael has served the Little Elm Economic Corporation for approximately seven years and has participated in the Library Design Advisory Committee and the Comprehensive Planning Committee in 2000, 2008, and 2017.
Michael believes his unique experience and historical knowledge of Little Elm allows him to serve the residents of Little Elm, continue the momentum, growth, and prosperity while developing a unique community and ensure we make Little Elm the place we all want to live, raise our children and honor those who have served before us.
