Council Workshop Highlights
- Presentation of mural rendering to go on the old fire station building on Eldorado Parkway. Discussion of mural features and adjustments to rendering.
- Mayor David Hillock inquired about the potential of a developing a community service work program to allow individuals to work off citations.
- Discussion of potential changes to the Zoning Ordinance for the Lakefront Residential Overlay District regarding lot sizes.
- Discussion of appointments of council member liaisons to the Lakefront District and the Lakefront Residential Overlay Districts. Council Member Neil Blais was appointed as liaison to the Lakefront Residential Overlay District, and Mayor Hillock was appointed as liaison to the Lakefront District.
- Town Manager Matt Mueller mentioned the 2019 Strategic Plan and requested feedback from council members.
- Discussion regarding potential changes to the Noise Ordinance regarding start times and operation of construction and heavy equipment on Saturday and Sunday, and the process for making these changes. Council opted to look at the suggested changes to the noise ordinance along with other recommended changes to the Town's Zoning Code.
Council Meeting Highlights
- CoServ Electric presented the Town with a capital credit check of $30,839.47 for 2018.
- Robert Medigovich, Municipal Coordinator with Community Waste Disposal, gave an annual report.
- Presentation of a proclamation by Mayor Hillock recognizing the Omega Alpha Omega chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha for their dedication to the residents and visitors of Little Elm.
