LITTLE ELM, TX (October 16, 2019). At 4:30 p.m., officers from the Little Elm Police Department responded to a call for a welfare check to a home on Whitewater Drive. Upon arrival, officers noted water flowing out of the residence.
The officers observed two small children inside the home. Unable to get anyone to answer the door, the officers forced their way into the residence and found the body of a deceased female.
No foul play is suspected at this time, and an autopsy has been ordered.
The children were taken to a nearby hospital, examined, and found unharmed. Child Protective Services has taken custody of the children while officers work to locate and notify the next of kin.
