[ARCHIVED] Officers Respond to Shooting Call

Update: 12:15 p.m., Saturday, February 4, 2023. The victim, 19-year-old David Noel Pleasant of Little Elm, succumbed to his injuries this morning. The charges against the two subjects in custody have been upgraded from aggravated assault to murder. 

Out of respect for the victim's family, we ask the public to refrain from further inquiries. No additional information will be released at this time as this investigation is still ongoing.

Update: 8:15 p.m. Two subjects are currently detained in possible connection with this incident. The subjects are 17 and 18 years of age and are residents of Collin County. 
There will be no additional updates this evening regarding this situation as our detectives continue their investigation.

Update: 5:30 p.m. Officers have cleared the scene.

At approximately 1 p.m. today, Friday, February 3, LEPD officers responded to a call of a shooting in the 1600 block of Knight Trail.  
A 19-year-old male subject was wounded and transported to a local hospital. 
Detectives from both the LEPD and the Denton County Sheriff’s Office are actively investigating the situation. 
There is no current threat to the public.
