Where Community Grows in Little Elm - Parks and Recreation Month

July is Parks and Recreation Month, but in Little Elm, we celebrate the vital role that parks and recreation plays in our community every day! Check out where community grows in Little Elm!

Five Unique Parks
One thing Little Elm takes pride in is our outdoor recreation. With five beautiful parks and one more on the way, there’s space for people of all ages to enjoy being outdoors with friends and family. Check out our parks around town below!

  1. Beard Park – 310 E Eldorado Pkwy.

Beard Park features an award-winning playground ideal for kids under seven. It includes a historic village with an iconic log cabin and post office, bringing history to the park. Enjoy the shade while your kids play with the pavilion, or reserve it for parties!

  2. Little Elm Park – 701 W Eldorado Pkwy.

Little Elm Park has amenities for all! Enjoy the pristine sandy beach and swim area, launch your boat from the boat ramp, camp with friends and family, walk or bike the Johnny Broyles Nature Trail, zip line and swing at the playground, enjoy concessions from the Lakefront Grill, reserve a pavilion or the amphitheater for a party or event, join a softball league, play sand volleyball, and so much more!

  3. McCord Park – 1800 FM 423

McCord Park’s playground is one for the books with the coolest climbing structure for kids ages 3-12! Fish at the pond, walk or bike on the concrete one-mile trail, splash away at the awesome splash pad, have fun on the two playgrounds, or play with your furry friends at the Wood Family Dog Park. This park is jam-packed with fun for everyone!

  4. Union Park – 4911 Union Park Blvd.

Union Park located along US 380 is a hidden gem in the suburbs. This 35-acre wooded park sits atop a hill with an open-air pavilion overlooking the park, dog park, trails, sand volleyball, pickleball, and ninja fitness stations.

  5. Cottonwood Park – 900 Lobo Ln.

Located on the shoreline of Lewisville Lake, Cottonwood Park has breathtaking views of the lake. Enjoy a picnic lunch, fish off the shore, and event rent a boat for the day from Cottonwood Creek Marina.

  6. The Lawn™ - Coming soon! 125 Main Street

The Lawn™, coming this fall, will feature a playground, turf area, stage, and so much more! You can expect programming such as the Christmas Tree Lighting, movie nights, themed events, and more.
